In the manufacturing process of sprocket shaft assemblies, the heat treatment process is a critical step in ensuring the product's superior performance. Through careful material selection, precise control of heat treatment parameters, the use of specialized cooling media, and rigorous quality inspections, Daiyue Machinery ensures its products exhibit exceptional stability and an exceptionally long service life under harsh working conditions.

1. Meticulous Selection Lays a Solid Foundation

High-quality raw materials are the cornerstone of high-performance products. Daiyue Machinery uses high-quality or advanced alloy steels such as 42CrMo and 40CrNiMoA for its sprocket shaft assembly components. These materials are renowned for their exceptional hardenability, significantly improving overall component performance and providing reliable support for subsequent heat treatment processes. Sprocket shaft assemblies are often used in extreme environments such as mines and underground, requiring high strength, toughness, and excellent wear resistance.

2. Quenching and Tempering Process: Precise Control Over Every Step

Quenching and tempering is a core process in sprocket shaft assembly manufacturing, aiming to optimize the overall mechanical properties of the parts. An electric furnace with a temperature control accuracy of ±5°C and a closed-loop thermocouple monitoring system throughout the entire process ensure that temperatures remain within the ideal range during the heating and holding phases.

Subsequent high-temperature tempering further enhances part performance, creating a uniform sorbite structure. After quenching and tempering, sprocket shaft assembly parts exhibit the following advantages:

Uniform hardness: Extremely consistent hardness distribution from the surface to the interior;

Excellent tensile strength (σb ≥ 940 MPa): Meets or even exceeds national standards;

Excellent low-temperature toughness (αk ≥ 40J at -20°C): Significantly reduces the risk of brittle fracture underground;

Excellent ductility (δ ≥ 12%): Suitable for long-term service under complex stress conditions.

3. Surface Quenching: Strengthening Key Areas

In addition to improving overall performance, Daiyue Machinery also pays special attention to strengthening localized areas of parts. For example, the company utilizes medium- and high-frequency equipment for surface quenching in high-wear areas such as splines and chain nests. This process precisely controls the surface hardness to between 55 and 60 HRC, enhancing both wear resistance and fatigue strength.

Practical experience has shown that surface-hardened parts experience a 50% reduction in wear rate under gangue impact conditions, while achieving a fatigue service life of over 10,000 hours under alternating loads, more than three times the industry standard.
